Cantaloupe Ice Cream

Two ingredients, one awesome ice cream, or rather “nice cream.”  Cantaloupe Ice Cream is dairy-free and actually good for you!  A refreshing summer breakfast or light dessert, Cantaloupe Ice Cream comes together in less than 5 minutes.


What (your ingredients):

1 cup fresh cantaloupe

4 frozen bananas


How (your directions):

Add ingredients to a high-speed blender and blend on high for 45-60 seconds.

Texture will be like a soft-serve ice cream.  For firmer texture that you can scoop, freeze mixture for at least 2 hours.

Serve in a bowl or the hollow cantaloupe shell 

Why (the science):  Frozen bananas are genius, because when blended, they create a soft-serve ice cream-like texture.  A dessert that tastes indulgent but is nutritious and won’t cause a sugar high- hard to beat!  Bananas have even been shown to help you relax and sleep better!
