Ricotta with Berries, Walnuts, and Honey

A simple snack or dessert, Ricotta with Berries, Walnuts and Honey is satisfying, light, and delicious.  Creamy ricotta, sweet berries and honey, and crunchy walnuts- what’s not to love? No cooking, no baking, just nutritious food whipped up in 5 minutes or less!


Ingredients


What (your ingredients):


¼ cup whole milk ricotta


Dash of cinnamon


5 strawberries, sliced


5 walnuts, crushed


2 teaspoons honey


Directions


How (your directions):


Spoon ricotta onto the center of a dessert plate.  Using the back of the spoon, smooth the ricotta into a smooth round disk.


Sprinkle with a dash of cinnamon.


Top with sliced strawberries.


Sprinkle crushed walnuts on top of the berries, then drizzle with honey.


Enjoy immediately!


Why (the science):  Walnuts are rich in polyphenolic compounds that reduce inflammation in the brain and improve neuron signaling.  In other words, walnuts are a great food to improve brain function!
