Fresh juice from cafes and grocery stores cost anywhere from $7-12 these days…Preposterous when you can make your own for pennies! This juice is tart from the lemon but has sweet undertones from the apple and kiwi. This Green Juice with Lemon and Ginger is refreshing and tastes, well, healthy.
What (your ingredients):
5 cups water
½ green apple
1 kiwi, skin removed
1 lemon, peel and pith removed
4 stalks celery, rinsed and tops/bottoms trimmed
1-inch knob ginger, peeled
How (your directions):
Place all ingredients in a high-speed blender.
Blend on “smoothie” setting or on high for 60 seconds.
Place nut-milk bag, cheese cloth, or kitchen towel over large bowl.
Pour juice though bag/cloth/towel into the bowl. Squeeze the bag/cloth/towel until all remaining liquid is added to the bowl.
Transfer the juice to mason jars and glasses.
Enjoy immediately or store in refrigerator for up to 3 days.
