Restaurant Style Vegetables

One of my favorite restaurants in Virginia has the best vegetables around, and I finally asked how they make them.  Read more to find out the 2 secrets that my waiter divulged for the perfect side of veggies you’ve ever tasted!

When vegetables taste THIS good, you’ll have no problem eating a rainbow of nutrients every day ;)  The more colorful your plate, the more vitamins, minerals, and antioxidants are present!

Ingredients

3 cups of your favorite, on-hand vegetables (carrots, onions, broccoli, peppers, zucchini, etc.), cut into bite-size pieces

2 tablespoons olive oil

½ tablespoon McCormick Montreal Steak Seasoning

Directions

Secret #1: The steak seasoning-who would have thought to use this aromatic seasoning on vegetables?  I’m telling you, it now all makes sense!

Preheat oven to 425˚ F.

Place vegetables onto baking tray and toss with olive oil and seasoning.

Roast for 20 minutes.

Secret #2: The veggies get grilled after being roasted!  The grill adds incredible flavor from those gorgeous grill marks.

Heat grill to medium heat (I use an indoor stovetop grill for grilling year round!).

Grill veggies until char marks appear.

Serve as the perfect side to crabcakes or grilled chicken.

Enjoy!
