FAQ

When do you deliver? Do I have to be home?

Generally, we deliver on Wednesday's

to the northern portion of Southeast Wisconsin and Thursday's to the Fox Cities, Madison, and the southern portion of Southeast Wisconsin and we will leave your order at your door. When you sign up, you can tell us exactly where to deliver the box. That could be a side entrance, hidden behind a fence, or even to the treehouse. You don't even have to be home. You could have a nice box of organic produce and your farmers markets selections waiting for you when you get home.

How do I know my produce is organic?

The majority of our produce comes from farms that have received their organic certification, according to the rules set up by the USDA. Occasionally we will buy items from local farms that, due to high costs or other factors, may not be certified organic. Fear not because we'll always let you know when this is the case. We will never offer any produce that is grown using conventional fertilizers, pesticides, or the like regardless of the certification status, and this includes small local farms we work with as well.

Which local farms are certified organic and which local farms aren't certified organic?

Full Harvest Farm is a USDA certified organic local farm. Piper Farms, Meuer Farm, Almost Eden Farms, BrynTeg Farm, and Milaegers are not certified organic, but also do not use any conventional fertilizers, pesticides, or the like.

What is the best way to ensure my produce stays fresh until I get home to take it inside?

We highly recommend that our customers leave out a cooler for the delivery. It will help keep the produce cool in the summertime and will insulate against freezing in the wintertime. If the cooler is too small to fit the entire box, our drivers will remove the bag of produce from the box and place it into the cooler.

What if I cancel after the 8am Monday deadline?

We're happy to do a one-time, post-deadline cancellation and return the credit on to your Brewers Organics account for use on your next order.

What is the deadline for updating payment information if my credit card is declined?

If your credit card is declined on billing day (Monday), you have until 12pm to update your payment information. If the information is not updated before then, we have to cancel the order for the week. If you have more than 2 consecutive failed payments, we cancel the account (we hate to do this, but merchant fees can be a killer!)

How do I pay? Do you accept cash or checks?

We only accept credit or debit cards. We will bill your credit (or debit) card on the Monday before your delivery.

I have a social coupon, do I need a credit card for it?

Nope! You already paid for it. We have a special sign up process just for you. After you receive your box of produce, we would love to have you decide to join us, and if you do it''s as simple as logging in and adding your payment information. If you, however, would like to add additional items from our shop onto your order, you will need to add a credit card to your account. You can do this by choosing the My Account dropdown at the top of the Brewers Organics homepage and then select Update Billing.

Where do I tell you what produce I like and don't like?

Log in to your account and click on ''Favorites'' on the side menu. We've developed a super simple way for you to tell us your likes. Then when we create your order for the next delivery, we look at that list and make adjustments to your menu so there's nothing on it that you don't like.

Can I give the box, meat cooler, and ice packs back to you?

Yes! We try to reuse or recycle everything possible, so please leave your Brewers Organic boxes, meat coolers, ice packs, and any bubble mailers that you have, out for your driver to pick up on your next delivery day. If the items are still in good condition, we can use them again. We can not reuse bags, egg cartons, or any ice packs that we did not originally provide.

How do I know how much of something I'm getting?

Under each listed item on your homepage, it will tell you the amount you're getting. Sometimes it's per item, sometimes it's by the bunch, and sometimes it's by approximate weight. Since we are only able to sell our items for a flat price, all weighed items are approximations. We do our best to get as close as we can to the listed weight.
